Accounts Accounts are required to log onto the computers in the lab. Accounts are reserved for students, staff, and faculty who have a direct affiliation (CHMS Majors, students taking a class in the department, you work in the department) with the Chemical
Engineering and Materials Science Dept. Contact the system administrator or lab administrator for accounts.
File Access
Access to your home directory is possible via the workstations by going to UGLY - Users - "Username". Access to LabShare is available through UGLY - Labshare. FTP Access (internet access from home, etc) to Labshare is available upon request.

Print Quotas
A print quota of 500 pages per quarter will be allotted to undergraduate users of the lab beginning Monday, February 11, 2002. If you exceed your quota, you may bring in one ream of white 8 1/2" x 11" paper, which can be purchased at the UCD Bookstore. You will need the receipt or a copy of it. This will restart your quota at 500 pages.
When you go to print, select the printer DOUBLEMINT for double-sided printing and the printer SPEARMINT for single-sided printing.
